GENERALISED ANXIETY

Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD) is when worry and nervousness become a constant part of daily life, not just something that pops up now and then. People with GAD often feel anxious about lots of different things like work, health, money, or everyday situations, even when there’s no clear reason to be. The worry can feel hard to control and might be there from the moment you wake up. It can cause physical symptoms too, like restlessness, tension, trouble sleeping, or feeling constantly on edge. Over time, it can be exhausting and make it hard to enjoy life or focus on what’s really important. Treatment provides assistance to reduce and manage worries without distress.

TRAUMA & PTSD

Trauma and PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) can happen after someone experiences something deeply distressing or frightening, like an accident, abuse, or a life-threatening event. With PTSD, it’s like the brain stays stuck in survival mode, even after the danger has passed. People might have flashbacks, nightmares, or sudden panic that brings the event rushing back. They may avoid anything that reminds them of what happened, feel constantly on edge, or struggle with emotions like anger, guilt, or numbness. It can feel really isolating and exhausting, but with support and the right treatment, healing is absolutely possible.

PANIC & AGORAPHOBIA

Panic disorder is when someone experiences sudden and intense waves of fear or panic that seem to come out of nowhere. These panic attacks can cause physical symptoms like a racing heart, shortness of breath, chest pain, dizziness, or feeling like you're losing control or even dying, often making people think something is seriously wrong. Because the attacks are so frightening, people with panic disorder may start avoiding certain places or situations out of fear it could happen again. It can feel really unpredictable and overwhelming, but with the right support and treatment, it can become much more manageable.

SOCIAL ANXIETY

Social anxiety is more than just being shy, it’s a strong fear of being judged, embarrassed, or negatively seen by others in social or performance situations. People with social anxiety often worry a lot before, during, and even after things like meetings, parties, phone calls, or even just talking to someone new. It can make everyday interactions feel intense and overwhelming, sometimes leading to physical symptoms like blushing, sweating, or a racing heart. A lot of the time, it leads to unwanted coping habits such as drink/drugs or avoidance of social situations altogether, which can feel really isolating. But with support, people can build confidence and start to feel more at ease around others.

SELF-ESTEEM RELATED ANXIETY

Low self-esteem related anxiety is when negative thoughts about yourself feed into constant worry and self-doubt. You might second-guess everything you say or do, worry that people are judging you, or feel like you’re not good enough no matter how hard you try. This kind of anxiety often comes with a harsh inner critic and a fear of making mistakes or being rejected. It can make you hold back in social situations, avoid new opportunities, or stay stuck in your comfort zone because you don’t believe in yourself. Over time, it can really wear down your confidence, but with the right support, those beliefs can be challenged and replaced with something much more empowering.

PHOBIA

A phobia is an intense fear of a specific thing, situation, or activity that feels way out of proportion to the actual danger. It could be anything from flying, heights, or spiders to things like needles or crowded places. Even just thinking about the phobia can cause anxiety, and coming face-to-face with it might lead to panic or a strong urge to avoid it completely. People usually know their fear isn’t totally logical, but it still feels very real and hard to control. Phobias can get in the way of everyday life, but with the right help, they can become much easier to manage or overcome.
